His Own Words:
It is now time for me to do my part in support of this worthy cause - in memory of Trisha, whom I watched grow into a beautiful young woman from the moment she was adopted and welcomed into the Sadler home. As the father of young twin daughters, the concerns of future domestic abuse strike all too close to home. I want to contribute the best way I can, but I need your help. Many of you know that I am a triathlete.
On October 25th, 2014 I will compete in the Beach2Battleship half iron distance event. I have finished this event for the past two years with an average time around 5hrs and 30 minutes. Will you please donate $5 for each hour that I’m on the course? $5 is merely a guideline - $.50, $2, $20…any amount that you can afford is sincerely appreciated. It will be an incredible motivation to me knowing that each hour that I can push through the course will be backed by financial support that will assist abuse victims.
How fitting that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On race day, I will be wearing Trisha A Sadler Foundation bracelets and will paint my nails purple (the color of domestic violence). And to keep you all in the loop throughout race day, Chris Sadler and my wife, Ericka will post my race progress and pictures to Facebook and Twitter. Thank you for reading and for your support. The impact we can make together is priceless.
